Walls of Jerusalem Project

Christ Community Church commissioned this SketchUp model of the Walls of Jerusalem as they would have appeared in the time of Nehemiah (approx. 444 B.C.). Note that this model is merely an artistic interpretation of the gates and landmarks listed in Nehemiah Chapter 3, not meant to be an accurate reflection of the current archeological record. That said, I did borrow the terrain map of the Temple Mount from Google Maps so that my model wouldn’t be lying on an unrealistically flat surface. CCC used this model to create a fly-through animation as part of a sermon presentation.
